For nearly 50 years, phenylpropanolamine or PPA was one of the most commonly used ingredients in over-the-counter cold medications and weight loss products. Although the FDA finally issued stern warnings against the drug in 2000, it was already too late for many. And now evidence is emerging that the manufacturers who used PPA in their products knew, long before the FDA established the connection, that they posed a danger to consumers - and continued marketing them anyway.
If either you or someone you love has suffered the devastation of a stroke after taking a PPA-containing product, you deserve to know the facts. This website is designed to provide you with information and resources to help you with your recovery - and to determine whether you have a legal claim to recover compensation from the manufacturer of the product responsible for causing the stroke.
